Witches' Fingers

There are several variations on these fun witches' fingers breadsticks, but if your family eats gluten-free, check out this fun recipe from Danielle Walker of Against All Grain. These cute but spooky treats are sure to be a hit with everyone! From Today.com

Michael Jackson - Thriller

A true classic for this 80's girl and my boys even enjoy listening to the songs in the car.

The Beatles - 1

Great choice. I loved listening to the Beatles albums my parents had when I was growing up.

Contigo Autoseal Water Bottle

Now that my kids are older, we have moved on to these water bottles as well. They don't leak and keep water nice and cold especially if you add ice for those inevitable blazing hot days the first or last weeks of school! I also appreciate that they are stainless steel as we try and reduce the amount of plastic we use.

PackIt Freezable Lunch Box

We have the smaller size that we used to use for snacks when my kids were younger. They are still useful to have now and I always keep one in the freezer.

Cape Cod National Seashore

We would visit these gorgeous beaches every summer as kids. Brings back lots of fun memories, a great area to keep busy with kids.

Hydracy Fruit Infuser Water Bottle

That's a great idea, fun to have something a little different than just plain water.

Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival

The Revere Beach Sand Sculpting Festival is one of the world's largest sand sculpting festivals and typically attracts master sand sculptors from all over the world to compete. The results are truly mind-blowing works of art. After being cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19, the festival will be back in a modified version. As a bonus, if the weather cooperates you can usually still get a chance to view these amazing sculptures once the festival is over and the crowds die down.

Lume Deodorant

Having two teen boys makes finding an effective deodorant a must, especially when warm weather arrives. We've had varied success with deodorants marketed toward teens but they never seem to last that long. Then I stumbled upon Lume deodorant after viewing one of their hysterical ads on Facebook. It's not a solid but rather a lotion type deodorant which comes in tubes (great for applying to stinky feet) or sticks that you twist to dispense small amounts for places like under arms. This natural deodorant is aluminum free and naturally derived which makes it safe to use anywhere on the body. My boys prefer the Silver Spruce scent.

Watermelon Ball

I saw this advertised for the first time the other day. I think this looks like so much fun and a different idea than your usual plastic balls which just float on top.

Popco Silicone Microwave Popcorn Popper

That is a great idea! We usually use the microwave popcorn bags, I like that this is reusable.

Both of my teen boys have LED lights in their room and they love them. There are lots of fun settings you can use and some sets are even Alexa compatible.

A Mango-Shaped Space

Mia Winchell has synesthesia, a blending of the senses where a person can see sounds, smell colors, taste shapes, etc. She's kept this a secret until one day she is forced to reveal her condition and must learn to accept her gift and herself. This is a great book for fifth graders who enjoyed Wonder.

Shiver Me Letters: A Pirate ABC

This rhyming pirate-themed adventure makes for great fun to read aloud while searching for missing letters of the alphabet. If you have a young pirate-lover in your family, this is a fun change of pace for learning ABC's and my boys loved listening to me read it in my best pirate imitation.

Cam Jansen Series

Cam Jansen has a special talent that makes her a superb junior detective; a photographic memory! She uses her super skill to help her solve all sorts of zany mysteries with the help of her friends. My son really enjoyed these short chapter books that helped develop his reading skills in a fun way. Great for independent reading and reading aloud together.

Ready, Freddy! Series

The Ready Freddy series was recommended by my younger son's teacher when he was in second grade. They were easy enough for him to gain confidence in his reading skills while reading out loud to me. Even better the story lines kept him interested and wanting to read more.

Superfudge

A classic book that has stood the test of time. I agree on the Santa comment. My now 6th grader told me this was how he first found out in 4th grade when he was reading it.
