America's Funniest Videos (AFV)
Shila said: One of those classic family tv shows meant to keep us all laughing in the living room, AFV never seems to run out of hilarious home movies.
Nailed it!
Kate Wille Murray said: Cooking competition show on Netflix but the bakers aren't very good. Lots of silly jokes and watching these bakers try to duplicate a professional baker's cakes and treats.
Animaniacs
Shila said: Animaniacs is one of the best kids cartoon series that offers something for adults, too, as you'll appreciate the sharp and quick-witted writing and kids will laugh out loud at the bonkers behavior.
WandaVision
Sue Krawitz Tandoc said: My tween boys and I enjoyed watching the Marvel Studios mini-series WandaVision. It is part super-hero, part comedy, part magic, part fantasy. It goes through the decades starting as a classic 1950s suburban sitcom with humor, science fiction and mystery!
Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street
Alexandra F. said: If you’re not hooked by this sweet and quirky Amazon Original series after the first episode or two, keep watching - it’s worth it! It took us a few episodes to get into it but once we did it became a family favorite, and we parents truly looked forward to watching as much as our older kid and tween did. The characters were probably the best part of the show and I appreciated the positive yet realistic relationships it portrayed, particularly between the kids and their families - no need for parent antagonists here! The kids were regular kids going through regular life stuff, but with a unique fantastical spin that made the show truly fun to watch.
Just Add Magic
Alexandra F. said: We binge-watched this Amazon Original show as a family a few summers ago when our kids were 8 and 10, and have continued to follow and re-watch it ever since. Three friends discover a magical cookbook and learn to cook yummy recipes using magic spices to help solve (but also create!) problems in their homes, school and community. Fun characters and a unique storyline made it enjoyable for all of us - and totally got my kids into cooking, too!
Jeopardy
Sarah Calamita said: Even though my kids are young, they love watching this with us! There are some questions and answers that they retain, it generates questions and I love that they love a "learning show"!
Once Upon a Time
Shila said: Kids will recognize their favorite Disney movies and fairytales in this family tv show which puts a modern spin on everything. The whole family will be enthralled by the "real life" version of their favorite characters and cross-story entanglements.
Wheel of Fortune
Shila said: This fast-paced gameshow is one of the best tv shows for the family to all get involved in...suggest the missing letters to solve the word puzzle!
LEGO Masters
Jennie Utsinger said: Lego Masters is a reality competition show featuring two-person teams competing to build Lego creations based on a given theme. The projects are unbelievably elaborate and our entire family was enthralled watching the competitors build.
Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood
Jocelyn Horst said: A great family show for toddlers through young school ages. Catchy tunes, great morals and character building topics.
Mythbusters
Shila said: This family show features quirky yet jaw-dropping experiments that test urban legends and will inspire kids to try their own science experiments at home.
Gilmore Girls
Kate Wille Murray said: The story of 3 generations of women and the stories of their relationship as they go through life. Lorelai became a young mom when Rory was born and they moved away from their family to the town of Stars Hollow. The townspeople became their surrogate family over the years. As time passes Lorelai and her parents reconnect. This fast-talking, fast-paced show is fun. So much about friendship and believing in oneself.
Black-ish
Shila said: We love watching this show as a family, it's funny and raw. It does a good job showcasing some familial and cultural identity struggles, even in today's "modern" time. The cast is really talented, too.
Everybody Loves Raymond
Shila said: Everybody Loves Raymond is a family friendly tv show that aired for 9 seasons. The sitcom does not focus on the children, but mainly showcases the smart and hilarious banter between the adults and their interesting family dynamics, including aloof and overbearing in-laws who are always dropping by unannounced.
