At what age did you get your child their own library card?

In order to attend the baby & me activities in our library, my daughter needed a library card for class registration at 6 months old. Yes, 6 months old. It is bizarre if you ask me.

What type of baby carrier worked best for you?

I tried to use it but she hated it! We used it once or twice to shop but that was it.

Which type of bottle did your baby like best?

We tried so many bottles! But Dr. Browns was, without question, the best bottle on the market!

What do you do with clothing items your child has outgrown?

We are very lucky to the recipients of beautiful hand-me-downs so we pass them on to friends and family. We also give a lot to charity too.

How do you store your family photos?

I prefer to put them in albums and frame them...although it usually takes me awhile to find the time to do it!

How do you get your kids to do their chores?

We use a chore chart with a daily sticker and weekly 'prize' for completion for my 3 year old. Works like a charm!

How much to spend on birthday gift for child's friend?

I usually do the same. But the spending can add up quickly if you get a lot if invites!

Moms, did you have pregnancy cravings?

Ice cream! Ice cream! Ice cream! Loved the cold, sweet taste especially during the heartburn stage!

If you could hire someone to take over one chore for life, which one would you choose?

General cleaning doesn't bother me. I hate vacuuming and washing the floors!

What path did you take for baby food?

Gerber! Gerber! Gerber! I did make some baby food at home but most was store bought. Moms, when did you find the time to make the food?

Who makes the Valentines?

I handle it for now because my daughter is too young to help out with the school cards.

Where do you primarily shop for your kids clothes test?

We have been so fortunate to receive hand-me-downs from friends. We get so many things that I rarely shop. But when I do, it's bargain shopping at Walmart, Old Navy, etc.

Did you find out your baby's gender?

It was the most wonderful surprise! I am so happy we didn't know in advance. I will never forget when the doc said, "It's a Girl!"

When can kids stay home alone?

This is tough to answer because it depends a lot of the maturity of the child. I think age 10 is a good age to start.

What type of books do your kids read most?

It's a mix of our own books and library books, some of which are school recommendations. We always read the book. We don't read e-books—there is no replacement for the actual book!

Do your children pitch in with household chores?

At 3 her only chore is to clean up her toys every night before bed. We'll add to the chore list soon as she gets closer to 4. We also use a reward chart and it's worked out very well!

How long did your child sleep in your bedroom?

I moved my daughter into her own room in a bassinet in the first few weeks. While that may seem harsh to some, she was always a good sleeper but made a lot of noises. It kept me awake and I needed the rest!

As a child, we ALWAYS opened on Christmas morning and those a great memories. Now, we see my side on Christmas Eve and my husband's on Christmas Day so we open presents on both days.
