I took my girls to Claire's on National Ear Piercing Day (apparently it's a thing) and took advantage of their annual event sale. We came home with dozens of cute earrings at an enormous discount - and safely pierced ears! The shopping spree seemed so memorable for them, and the piercing experience was fine.

I always pinch myself to deter/control the pain! I don't do any distractions for the kids other than grip - er hug them tight :)

I really enjoyed our City Mini Baby Jogger - tried and true while living in a major city, too! I appreciated its easy maneuverability over bumpy sidewalks, quick flat fold while hopping on public transportation, how large it was for a growing toddler to stretch yet still narrow enough to enter gracefully through single doorways, elevators, and restaurant dining. I also loved how the seat reclined to 180 degrees which made napping seem more possible while out.

I am shocked at how user friendly TikTok is! You don't have to be tech-savvy at all to create the most intriguing videos (dance, art, baking, theatre, vlogs, etc.). I love how it's allowed my kids to express themselves. And, as a bonus, our accounts are set to "private" and "followers" are self limited to "family only."

We used to have a larger list of extended family and friends, 75+ at least, but we've since limited it to less than 15 immediate family members: grandparents, parents, and siblings. The rest we send virtual messages to. I love the idea and admire those cards that come in, but in recent years I've found it challenging to secure the whole ordeal (i.e., family photos, printing, updating addresses, who-to-send-to/ who-to-not-send-to, pricier stamps, environmental footprint, mail deadlines, etc.). I actually aspire to find a more simple way to accomplish this!

I would suggest a local restaurant because it's also an experience- enjoy dinner or drinks on us! In turn, it's a gift towards the local community too.

We invite out-of-town family, so our Thanksgiving dinner typically starts around 4pm (opening up the home around 1) which allows them to wake up casually and not rush the drive. We typically snack all day on delicious appetizers!

Yes - with their real friends only, and I try to check in periodically to maintain some knowledge of the program. So far, it's all fun and age-appropriate games. During times of COVID, these interactive games have enabled my kids to keep in safe contact with their friends, for whom they may not see otherwise.
