How do you usually find out about family-friendly events near you?

On Facebook...only thing is.. my friends and family are already at the event...and I'm here stuck at home.

Upparent has been a huge help! When I have gone to other resources, either the lists are outdated or there is no map so I can't tell which ones are closest to me. This is important since we live fairly far from city center.
