    Khumba

    Khumba (2022)

Shila said:  This free kids movie, starring a half-striped zebra ostracized from his herd, takes place in the safari of South Africa. Jake Austin, Liam Neeson, Steve Buscemi, AnnaSophia Robb, and Laurence Fishburne lend their voices in Khumba's comedic and sweet journey to find acceptance and discover self worth.

All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989)

Alexandra F. said:  This Don Bluth animated musical was one of my favorite kids movies growing up, and it's free on YouTube right now! A dog is sent back to earth after dying without any good deeds to his name, where he meets a little orphan girl who ends up teaching him about the stuff that really matters in life, like family, friendship and love. I still find myself singing some of the songs decades later!

    The Great Bear (2011)

Upparent said:  11-year-old Jonathon and his little sister spend their holiday with their grandfather, who lives at the edge of a forest filled with magical creatures. When his little sister is taken by an ancient bear, Jonathon ventures into the forest to rescue her.

    Cats Don't Dance (1997)

Upparent said:  This animated musical about a cat trying to break into 1930s Hollywood (who doesn't understand why he's only getting cast in animal roles!) is sure to please all ages, with its sharp dialogue and great musical numbers by Randy Newman.

    Arthur's Missing Pal (2010)

Alexandra F. said:  I really loved the Arthur cartoons on PBS when my kids were little, and this full-length movie featuring Arthur and his friends is free on YouTube right now! The animation is different from the cartoon series, which may be strange for Arthur fans at first, but the gentle mystery story that has Arthur and his friends searching for his lost puppy is sure to please younger viewers.

    Good Burger (1997)

Kelly R. said:  Friends try to save the fast food restaurant where they work when a corporate chain moves in across the street in this funny free kids movie on YouTube. You might remember watching this one yourself as a kid in the 90s!

    The Neverending Story (1984)

Alexandra F. said:  Arguably one of the best family films of the 80s is free on YouTube right now! A young boy is drawn into a fantastical world through an old book that he discovers in a book store, where he becomes the hero of an unexpected magical adventure.

Thunder And The House Of Magic (2013)

Upparent said:  An abandoned cat makes a new home with an old magician and his crew, with plenty of slapstick humor and magical antics along the way.

    A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventures (2011)

Alexandra F. said:  The story of a sea turtle's adventures across the ocean over the course of fifty years, and how he encounters the effects of global warming during that time.

Thomas & the Magic Railroad (2000)

Alexandra F. said:  If you've got a Thomas-loving kiddo, be sure to catch his debut feature film while it's free on YouTube!

    The School of Rock (2003)

Alexandra F. said:  Jack Black stars as a rock 'n' roll enthusiast who gets kicked out of his band and, needing work, pretends to be a substitute teacher. He introduces his high-achieving and privileged students to the hard rock musicians he loves, and tries to get them in touch with their inner rock 'n' roll animals. Though the cast is pretty kid-centric, some rude humor a la Jack Black may make it a better choice for older kids.

    Osmosis Jones (2001)

Upparent said:  This 2001 mash up animation/live action film starring Bill Murray treats us to a close up view of what happens inside the body when it gets infected by a virus. The gross out humor featuring plenty of bodily fluids is sure to appeal to kids, and adults will appreciate the clever dialogue and big name voices and actors.

    Quest for Camelot (2008)

Upparent said:  Excalibur has been taken by a rogue knight, and it's up to a brave young girl, a two-headed dragon, and a reclusive blind man who longs to be a knight to bring it back to Camelot and King Arthur. You'll recognize quite a few of the voices in this animated adventure movie from the 90s!

    Popeye (1980)

Kelly R. said:  Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall are Popeye and Olive Oyl in this 1980 movie about the adventures of the spinach-fueled sailor man.

    My Girl (1991)

Alexandra F. said:  Any 90s kid probably remembers this heartwarming coming of age story about an 11-year-old girl, and her friendship with a shy neighborhood boy. Share it with your own kids while it’s free on YouTube, but beware if they are more sensitive, as a tragic turn at the end of the movie made it one of the saddest movies I remember watching as a kid.
