Ron’s Gone Wrong (2021)
Kelly R. said: We've watched this movie twice already, once for a tween boy sleepover, so I'd say it's a hit with all ages! A middle school boy finally has a robot "best friend" just like all the other kids, but his came with a few quirks...

How to Train Your Dragon (2010)
Kelly R. said: A Viking teenager befriends a dragon in the first movie based on the beloved children's book series.
Turbo (2013)
Sue Krawitz Tandoc said: The under"snail" story of Turbo is a family favorite for my kids. They love watching Turbo's racing adventure and cheer him on until the very end! And with Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Turbo, you are guaranteed a great movie experience.

McFarland, USA (2015)
Kelly R. said: My family loved this movie, which is based on the true story of a disgraced football coach who starts a high school cross country team at the only place that will take him, a mainly Latino school in California's Central Valley. This one flew under the radar for us, and we highly recommend you check it out if you haven't seen it yet! It's one of the best family sports movies we've seen in a while.

The Mighty Ducks (1992)
Michael Farina said: Looking for something wintery that doesn't have a talking snowman? While you should probably preface this movie with a warning about language that was appropriate in the 1980s, this story of misfits and meanies who come together as a team is charming, heartwarming, and lasting.
Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made (2020)
Kelly R. said: Based on the kid-favorite book, 11-year-old Timmy Failure operates his own detective agency along with his partner, who happens to be a polar bear. I feel like this one sort of flew under the radar, but it is funny and quirky and we loved it for family movie night!
Doctor Dolittle (1967)
Trish Rice said: If you are an animal family the classic Doctor Dolittle never disappoints.
Nacho Libre (2006)
Kelly R. said: This was such a blast for our family to watch together for family movie night...endless laughs for all ages, surprisingly appropriate, and so many quotable lines that we're still rattling off every day. It's also quite beautifully shot! The story is about a friar who follows his dream of becoming a luchador.
The Secret Garden (1993)
Jaclyn Keifer said: When a young girl is sent to live with her uncle after the death of her parents, his manner and sorrow leaves her feeling bitterly alone. Neglected once again, she begins exploring the estate and discovers a garden that has become hidden and, aided by one of the servant's boys, begins restoring it to its former glory. The secret garden was one of my favorites as a child and I’m thrilled to see the 2020 remake.
Pete's Dragon (1977)
KansasAlicia said: Pete's Dragon (1977 Version) was a favorite in our house! My parents loved it and it's a movie that appeals to both girls and boys!
Flora & Ulysses (2021)
Kelly R. said: Based on the book by Kate DiCamillo, 10-year-old Flora rescues a squirrel and discovers that he has special powers. It's a funny and sweet superhero movie with a big heart, and will appeal to a wide variety of ages. I expected this to be a little cheesy when we watched it together for family movie night, but the adults ended up enjoying it as much as the kids did!

The Sound of Music (1965)
Michael Farina said: While many of the themes may go over your kids' heads, this G-rated musical featuring a gaggle of children was a pleaser in our family. The second act may be a little long, but we have re-watched the first half to great success. Bonus - this movie provides the gentlest-possible introduction to the concept of World War II and the Nazis, which will surely be topics of conversation in your future.

The Mitchells vs. The Machines (2021)
Kelly R. said: My family has been loving the original new kids movies on Netflix recently, and The Mitchells vs. The Machines is one of our favorites! It's up to the Mitchell family to stop a robot apocalypse from destroying humanity...however ill-equipped they may seem.
