4th of July Events in Columbus for Families

Yoli B said:  Enjoy a family picnic on the lawn of Thomas Worthington High School, with food, musical entertainment, Supergames and more! Food will be available for purchase, or bring your own. Fireworks will start at 10pm and can be viewed from the picnic location or from the football stadium.

Katie G. said:  The city of Upper Arlington's annual 4th of July celebration features a parade with a large selection of patriotic floats, bands and old cars. Later on in the day, don't miss the Party in the Park where local bands will be playing all night. Fireworks begin at dusk.

Katie G. said:  The July 4th celebration in Delaware begins with the annual parade through downtown Delaware. Later that night there will be an outdoor concert on the Phillips Glen lawn at Ohio Wesleyan University where the Central Ohio Symphony will perform. Fireworks will take place following the concert.

Brigitte Nohra Miller said:  Get an early start by perusing the art, crafts and antiques fair, then don't miss the parade followed by the kids zone at the Square. The grand finale fireworks show will be held at dusk.

Family-friendly activities will include a patriotic procession, a local mayoral election (everyone is invited to vote), old-fashioned games on the village green, traveling performers and speakers, and a Women's Suffrage Rally with a performance by Columbus Symphony.

Expect a full evening of entertainment at Freedom Fest at Roger Reynolds Municipal Park, including live music, food trucks and a fireworks display.

Granville's Fourth of July Celebration spans over 4 days, with festivities including fireworks, parade, live music, carnival rides, concessions, talent show, bingo and more. The fireworks will launch on Friday night at Wildwood Park - bring your lawn chairs!

Brigitte Nohra Miller said:  Grove City will celebrate Independence Day with a car show and concert in historic Town Center, as well as an afternoon of patriotic entertainment in Town Center Park. The festivities will conclude with a fireworks show launched from Murfin Memorial Fields. Though no parking will be available there, spectators are welcome to park at Windsor Park, Hayes Intermediate and J.C. Sommer Elementary schools, Grove City High School and the Grove City Church of the Nazarene. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs!

In addition to fireworks finale there are activities all day long, including a parade, live shows, street festival and food truck alley...YUM! Red, White & Boom is located all around downtown Columbus surrounding the riverfront and Arena District areas, so make sure to explore it all!
